Old Carrollwood · Full Renovation
“Working with a design team who truly "gets" the balance between high-end style and the beautiful chaos of family life is a rare find. From our very first meeting, it was clear that Sarah and team weren't just looking to create a showroom; they were looking to create a home. They listened intently to our needs, ensuring that every corner of the house remained sophisticated while fully accommodating the energy and creativity of our children. The process was seamless thanks to their dual expertise in design and project management. Even when inevitable roadblocks appeared, they handled them with such grace and efficiency that we never had to worry. They remained remarkably disciplined with our budget, finding clever ways to deliver luxury without overspending. Beyond the technical skill, they are simply wonderful people to be around. Their personable nature made the entire collaboration a joy, and by the end of the project, the professional bond had shifted into a personal one. We don’t just consider them our designers anymore—we consider them family. If you want a home that feels as good as it looks, and a team that treats your project with genuine heart, look no further !”

Many kitchens are asked to do everything, yet never quite feel like the heart of the home. We gave this one soft greige cabinetry, a deep wood-toned island, and handmade tile behind a plaster-style hood, then wove unlacquered brass touches throughout. We love the classic oversized checkerboard floor that feels like it’s always been there. It’s a kitchen made for real life: setting up the lunches for the day, homework at the island, and slow Sunday dinners.
Nearly every home has a corner that never quite finds its purpose. Here, a rarely-used kitchen desk nook and awkward pantry became the place where mornings begin with a fresh pour-over and evenings wind down with a glass of wine. Richly stained cabinetry, handmade glazed tile, and floating shelves trimmed in brass gallery rails give it a warm, collected feel. The unlacquered brass softens and gathers patina with every passing year, which is just what we love.
Every family needs a spot to land, a place to linger over breakfast, help with homework, or just sit a minute with a second cup of coffee. For this area, we carved a softly arched nook out of a blank kitchen wall and tucked in a cognac leather banquette. We wrapped the wall in a rustic botanical wallpaper and adorned it with a gallery mixture of their own family photos and vintage art all beneath the glow of a whimsical, pleated sconce. This inspiring nook just calls to you to slide in and stay awhile.
Like so many homes of its era, this living room had beautiful bones that were just waiting to be noticed. We kept the warmth of the wood paneling and recreated the built-ins to become the heart of the room, then calmed the fireplace with tall, hand-glazed tile and a simple mantel so the wood could finally shine. A woven pendant, olive chairs, and a sculptural teak coffee table bring in texture and a little mid-century soul, a room that feels collected rather than bought all at once.
Once purely practical, the laundry room now feels like a little European, cottage mudroom, with olive beadboard and a peg rail beneath a playful banksia botanical wallpaper. The deep apron-front sink with an unlacquered brass bridge faucet and a brass hanging rod for drying make even laundry day feel a little more lovely. And the worn wooden bench and vintage runner create a landing spot for leaving your shoes at the door.
