Sometimes a room does not need to be completely redesigned. It may already have a strong foundation and several pieces you love, but something still feels off.

Furnishings & Bespoke Sourcing is a focused design service created for those spaces. We evaluate what you already have, identify the changes that will make the greatest difference, and source the select pieces needed to pull everything together.

This is not a condensed version of Full-Service Design. Full Service creates the complete design from beginning to end. This service uses an expert edit to elevate a room without starting over.

THE ART OF THE EDIT

One of the most valuable things we can bring to a room is knowing what it does and does not need.

We consider the scale, balance, lighting, color, comfort, and character of the space. We determine which pieces should remain, what might be used differently, and what should be added or replaced.

The solution may be a better-proportioned sofa, a larger rug, original artwork, improved lighting, or a collection of accessories that makes the room feel more personal. By focusing on the changes with the greatest impact, we can transform the way a room feels without replacing everything in it.

Not everything needs to be new, expensive, or precious. It simply needs to feel intentional.

SOURCING WITH PROVENANCE

Provenance is the story of where something came from and the life it lived before finding its way to you.

We source from trusted trade vendors, custom craftspeople, artists, antique dealers, vintage markets, and our own growing collection of finds. We can also build upon pieces you already own, whether that is a family heirloom, artwork collected while traveling, or a furnishing that deserves a more meaningful place in the room.

Sometimes the missing piece is a beautifully made sofa. Sometimes it is an old cabinet, an unexpected work of art, or the smaller collected objects that give the room its soul.

The magic is in the mix. Each piece may come from a different place, but together they should feel as though they have always belonged.

Depending on the needs of your room, our work together may include:

  • Select furniture replacements or additions

  • Lighting, rugs, and textiles

  • Custom upholstery

  • Original art and decorative objects

  • Vintage, antique, and one-of-a-kind pieces

  • Reworking meaningful furnishings you already own

  • Accessory sourcing and styling

  • Purchasing and order coordination

  • Delivery, placement, and final styling

Each engagement is based on a defined list of pieces established after we evaluate the room.

This service does not include floor plans, renderings, cabinetry, construction selections, or a complete room redesign. If the room requires an entirely new layout, creative direction, or majority of new furnishings, we may recommend Full-Service Design.

HOW THE PROCESS WORKS

GETTING TO KNOW YOUR SPACE

Before our visit, we review photographs and information about your room, what you already own, and what you feel is missing.

THE ON-SITE EVALUATION

We visit your home (we can also arrange a virtual consultation) to see the space in person and talk through how it looks, feels, and functions.

During the evaluation, we identify what should stay, what could be reconsidered, and the specific changes that will make the greatest difference. This is also when we determine whether the project is best suited for this focused service or Full-Service Design.

ESTABLISHING THE EDIT

Following the evaluation, we define the pieces and finishing elements to be sourced. This focused scope allows us to build on what is already working while directing your investment toward the areas that matter most.

FINDING THE RIGHT PIECES

We source specifically for your home, drawing from trade collections, custom makers, artists, vintage dealers, and other trusted resources.

Rather than overwhelming you with endless options, we narrow the possibilities and present the pieces we believe are right for the room.

BRINGING IT TOGETHER

Once the selections are approved, we manage purchasing and coordinate the details necessary to bring everything into your home.

When installation and styling are recommended, we return to place the furnishings, hang the artwork, style the shelves, and add the final layers that make the room feel settled and complete.

It is often surprising how much a room can change without starting over.

Our studio will recommend the appropriate service after reviewing your project.

Furnishings & Bespoke Sourcing begins with a paid on-site evaluation and is offered for a select number of projects.

Once we understand what your room needs, we will outline the recommended scope, professional design fee, merchandise commitment, and next steps.
